Ph.D., Louisiana State University, Kinesiology
M.S., University of Florida, Exercise Physiology
B.S., University of Florida, Exercise Science/Wellness
Teaching Areas:
Cardiovascular physiology
Research Interests:
Dr. Kluess focuses on the role of the sympathetic nervous system in the control of blood flow. This includes changes in vascular control with aging, sex, and under various environmental conditions.
Professional Biography:
Heidi Kluess was formerly an instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed one year of post-doctoral training in cardiac physiology at the University of Illinois in Chicago and three years of post-doctoral training in vascular physiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
